Poor Little Chipmunk

Here he is recovering on the couch. Only 1 day of percocet!
The only thing that made him feel sick was the antibiotics...
Almost all better!

A new found love, dressing up and getting my picture taken?

Summer Days

My friend Nancy is a genius. Love this picture.
Who knew getting your picture taken could be so fun?

Posing with a cow... that cow would later try to ram me...
I now appreciate barb wire.

Nancy and I.

I had just jumped and accidentally flipped my dress all the way up.
When I realized I had just exposed myself, I fell over laughing.
Definitely an Amanda moment.

More Mike Adventures to come. As soon as we learn how to use our new camera! :)
Also, any tips from you lovely bloggers out there? I'm not in love with this format.
I know this is a silly question, but how do you change it around?

Summers and bubble tea

It is no big secret that I love bubble tea.

My favorites are the taro milk tea (not actual tea in there) or honey green tea (green tea with honey). Both have amazing little "bubbles" which are gummys made out of sweet potato.

They are the best summer treat! I have had 2 this week already:)

Day three of posting.

So, since the last post much has happened... including Mike losing our camera.

Here is a recap of events...

1. Went camping down at the sand dunes at Sandlake.
We met friends, they lost keys, they found their keys, they broke their camera, we lost ours, our truck broke down, we camped on the sand, road an ATV on the beach, got totally soaked, saw the sunset over the horizon, and ate smores. All in all had a great time!

2. Went berry picking again, picked raspberries this time. They were not quite ripe. Went with some friends that brought their pup. Dex has a big crush on their boston terrier chiuaua.

3. Floated down the Lewis River with friends. Was So much fun! Believe it or not the river was actually warm!

4. Went to the pool.

5. Saw fireworks at a local neighborhood.

6. Baked and baked and cooked a little. Recipes include camp fire pie, blueberry crisp, bacon waffles, and pear muffins.

7. Had friends over to play games. I won! Haha, I never win at board games! I was excited:)

8. Flew to CA on a day trip for work. Got in at 9am and left at 3pm.

9. Made raspberry jam.

Life has been busy and loads of fun.

Day two, post two.

Last weekend we went camping with a few friends.
Totally thought it was going to be a disaster: it was pouring down rain, I didn't fully pack, and we were going to a random site with a lot of dirt bikers and 4wheelers (aka redneck land).

However, it was soo much fun! As soon as we got unpacked the rain let up. We were in the trees, next to a river, and far removed from any hooting/hollering/music blaring/gun shooting. Dex ran around the whole time, came when called (TOTALLY unlike him!), and was such a good pup.

We spent the rest of the night making dinner, eating dinner and talking. By the time we got around to making smores everyone was full. But you know me and sweets, so I ate one anyways:)

The not so fun part:
Sleeping is my least favorite of camping. It seems that no matter what I have a rock lodged in my back and am totally freezing. All night I just can't wait for the morning to come. Argh.

Side note: Dex ran around soo much that when we got home he curled up in ball and didn't move for the next 12 hrs!!! Mike even thought he was dead at one point!

Day two of blogging

So obviously this is going to take more work that I had imagined... Almost 2 weeks later and we are at post 2!

Two weeks ago we went on a fun, small hike/walk up to the rose garden.

I love it in northwest Portland. Every time we drive around there I want to move:) The houses up there are huge and amazing, overlooking the city.

However, due to crowds, no pictures of the roses or the view. Haha, go figure.

Day one and strawberries!!!

My new lovely friend Stacy helped me set up a blog (to be fair Mike started it about a year ago.. but neither of us how much follow through)!!! Thankfully Stacy gets things done.
So here is day one!
Here are pics of our berry adventure this weekend.

I love Sauvies Island. I am such a child about picking berries too, I can never leave.. always afraid that I leaving a fabulous red berry behind!
Needless to say, we have WAY to many berries!
